Have you guys read this book?
It's called The Invention of Hugo Cabret
by Brian Selznick.
This book is mostly pictures....it tells a story that you have to figure out.
It's an amazing book.

What age level do you teach.. and what age level is this book for??? I have a son that LOVES to read.. (12) but is lazy about it.. KWIM??
And then my daughter (17) is advanced English.. and will graduate with honors and distinction in English...
Oh and Jodi Picoult.. LOVE HER!!! she is local for me.. so I can "see" her places she write about.. especially in 19 minutes...!!! that book is AMAZING!! and it really makes you think!!

I thought it was the most amazing book!!
As a teacher, it changed the way I deal with bullying behavior. I have the kids think about what it must be like for the kid they are picking on to come to school each and every day. POWERFUL!!!
some series i like are the Gregor the Overlander and Percy Jackson series.

If any girls are looking for an easy book to read over the summer tell them that "Heartbeat" is a very good and easy book to read over the summer!!!!!!

The book sounds very good! Do you know if it is at the Farmington Libary? Even though it is long but mostly pictures, I think that is will be a great bok for me to read in the summer!

I am certain the Farmington library has that book. If they don't, however, you can reserve it, and they will call you when it arrives.
i think this book sounds realy good!!!!!!!!!!!!! it has alot of pictures and it will be an easy read over the summer

Hi Ms. Simonson I just got to the blog page today. I would say I like reading Nancy Drew books more since the break from the Nancy Drew books. I'm on pg 60 in Nancy Drew The Stolen Relic
